Michael P. Freund, P.E., President, Master Plumber
Mike became owner of BUIST in March 1968. He graduated from NJIT with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. He obtained his Professional Engineer License in January of 1973 and his Master Plumbers License in May 1982. He is a member of ASHRAE and ASPE as well as NSPE. Mike also has a Master HVACR license.
Robert Freund – Vice President of Service/ Service Department Manager
Bob joined the family business in May of 1981. He started in the service department as a service technician apprentice. He then became dispatcher. He attended many industry related seminars. He is very familiar with HVAC equipment, refrigerants and preventive maintenance procedures. After many years of experience he became Service Manager. He attended Rutgers University for computer science and is working on obtaining his LEED Accreditation. Bob has a Master HVACR license.
Thomas H. Freund – Vice President of Construction, Project Superintendent, Master Plumber
Tom attended Lincoln Tech for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. He joined the family business in January of 1983 in the Service department as a Technician. He left BUIST for a few years to start his own auto repair business and returned in 1993 to become a Project Manager and Field Superintendent for the construction department. He is a member of the Health Care Facilities Management Society of NJ. He’s taken project management, Foreman training and safety courses at MCA and has been a licensed Master Plumber since October of 2000. Tom has a Master HVACR license.
William C. Koncar – Controller, Treasurer/Secretary
Bill joined BUIST in April of 1996 as Controller and became Secretary/Treasurer as well as Information Technologies Manager. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in Computer Science. Before coming to BUIST he worked in the family business as a Contractor to the Federal Government providing Military Supplies.
