Hospital Services

 BUIST has been providing Design/Build mechanical services to the hospital industry for nearly 20 years.  Its activities span the gamut of facilities from residential care to acute care with highly  specialized requirements for dedicated rooms.  These activities were a logical outgrowth of BUIST’s work with industrial laboratories and clean rooms, and have resulted in BUIST providing mechanical services for dialysis, radiology and cardiac catheterization facilities. Specialized ventilation such as positive pressure systems for those with immune system deficiencies and negative pressure for those with contagious diseases have been designed and constructed.  The company strives to be at the forefront of the design and installation of medical gas distribution systems.  Many of BUIST’s projects have been accomplished with minimal or no interruption to ongoing, crucial hospital activities – a sensitivity to which BUIST has a keen awareness.

 BUIST’s projects have been accomplished with the company serving as either a subcontractor to a general contractor of preference to the client, or with BUIST serving as the prime contractor.  The needs of the client, and the arrangement that proves most effective in terms of cost and maintenance of patient comfort drive the choice.
